Sustaining Excellence and Enthusiasm in Health, Relationship, and Work
Four Skills
1. An awareness and respect for FEAR. A willingness to feel it and to reach for support (emotional and technical)
2. When afraid, listening to a “built in nurturing voice” (the Tabernacle Choir) that reassures, automatically and compassionately that it is “okay to be afraid, okay to make mistakes, okay to ask for help”
3. An awareness of the need for attention as well as a generosity in giving and receiving appreciation
4. A sense of mission or vision: a clarity about goals and states…a sense of purpose that sustains passion and enthusiasm in difficult times, a focus on what state one is seeking while pursuing goals.
