Actor and
Comedian Jason Stuart has become one of the top openly
gay performers in the country and is now touring with his stand
up show "The Looking for Mr. Right Show." He was born
in the Bronx, New York and raised in Los Angeles, California
by a very crazy and lovable Jewish family. His show has been
seen all over the country, entertaining crowds in comedy clubs,
colleges, and gay events to sell out performances!
As an actor, he recently guest starred on the new medical drama House, M.D., directed by Bryan Singer (X-Men)
and Showtime's improv-style comedy Fat Actress starring
Kirstie Alley. He is best know for his recurring role on the
ABC sitcom My Wife and Kids starring Damon Wayans, playing
a gay shrink. This was ground breaking television. Jason has
been seen all over television guest starring on the Emmy winning Will and Grace twice! Charmed with Shannon Doherty
and Alyssa Milano, Strong Medicine with Patricia Richardson
(Home Improvement), Providence opposite Melina
Kanaredes, Norm Show, The Drew Carey Show with
his old pal Drew and Kathy Kinny, Murder She Wrote with
Angela Landsbury and Sunset Beat with George Clooney.
Jason's work as a stand-up comic has brought him to the best
comedy clubs, including The Laugh Factory's, Funny Bone's, Punchline's,
Improv's, and so many more. He was asked to perform at The Montreal
Comedy Festival, Toyota Comedy Festival, Holland Comedy Festival
and Vail Comedy Festival. Jason was honored to host the music
festival at The Millenium March in D.C and many AIDS Benefits
and Gay Prides all over the USA. And if that's not enough, his
comedy has brought him to Harrah's in Las Vegas, Broadway's
Town Hall Theater twice! and to a recent tour in Europe. He
enjoyed much success performing stand up comedy on TV including
Comedy Central's Out There, Showtime, A&E, Fox TV
and more! His outrageous wit has been seen in over a 100 local
TV talk shows around the USA, Canada and Holland.
The college circuit has embraced Jason from the smallest towns
to major cities throughout the United States and Canada. He
was also invited to perform at seven National Associations of
Campus Activities Conventions. His work on campuses has grown
so that in addition to doing stand-up comedy, he has become
a popular lecturer at such fortune 500 companies as Motorola,
ATT, The Out And Equal Conference and a comedy tour for The
Human Rights Campaign to name a few.
A very talented
character actor, the indie film world has given Jason many diverse
roles...including including Coffee Date with Wilson Cruz
and Sally Kirkland, Ghosts Never Sleep opposite Oscar
winner Faye Dunaway and Tony Goldwyn, the comedy satire A
Day With Out a Mexican and the AIDS drama Letting Go.
He made a big splash by starring in and co-producing 10 Attitudes with Michael Gallant (also the director). This dogma style
romantic comedy won the best picture award at the Barcelona
Gay & Lesbian Film Festival in addition to selling out at
several other film festivals around the world. Co-starring his
friends Alexandra Paul, David Faustino, Jim J. Bullock and Judy
Tenuta.
Jason has worked with so many wonderful actors in the studio
films. Such as Easier, Softer Way with Mekhi Phifer, Lost and Found with David Spade, Vegas Vacation with Chevy Chase, Kindergarden Cop with Arnold Schwartzenegger, Cross my Heart with Martin Short and HBO's GIA with Oscar winner Angelina Jolie. In the theater, Jason worked
on plays from Landford Wilson to William Shakespeare. Some of
his stage credits include Mister Roberts, Night of
January 16th, The Caucasian Chalk Circle, The
Sand Castle, Coriolanus, the AGLA Award winner, Panic
in Griffith Park and recently Questions & Answers.
Jason has been profiled everywhere from TV's Entertainment
Tonight and Extra to almost every news and interview
show across the country. He's been featured in the LA Times three times, written articles for The Advocate and Genre
Magazine. In addition to a column in EXP Magazine and on gaywired.com. He came out nationally on The
Geraldo Show and has been on the cover of over thirty or
so magazines in last twelve years.
In the last year he has been seen all over TV as a celebrity
panelist on VH1's Love Lounge as well as a "talking
head" in The Coolest Years and several other shows
on VH1. He appeared in the new documentary Tickled Pink on the new gay channel Logo and TV Land. Also
many episodes of Match Game, Make Me Laugh in
addition to talk shows like Maury Povich and Merv
Griffin.
And last but not least, Jason has released his first full-length
comedy CD Gay Comedy Without a Dress available on his
web site's shopping page. This man cannot be stopped! No one
said he was going to play it safe.
